    About

    Origin Story

On October 14, 2015, Ella’s younger sister Emilie sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) during a horseback riding lesson. She was flown to Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and stayed there in intensive care for 3 1/2 weeks. Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital saved her sister’s life. Emilie was then admitted to Blythedale Children's Rehabilitation Hospital for four months to recover and remained an out patient for six months.

Ella decided one day she wanted to help the children at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and Blythedale Children's Hospital. Blythedale Children's Hospital is a rehabilitation facility and they have patients ranging from infant to 18 years of age. Children come from all different parts of the world to just get better at Blythedale. Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital is also a hospital that treats patients ranging from infant to 18 years of age. It is a hospital that treats children who may be battling cancer, surviving a trauma, or having an organ transplant.

Ella has decided that since both hospitals have been so wonderful with her sister Emilie that she would like to give back to them... which is how Ella's Threads was conceived.

    How Can You Help??

Ella is looking for donations of "new" clothing (must have tags) for children between 2 to 18 years of age. Some examples include: socks, underwear, tee-shirts, athletic wear (sweat pants and athletic shorts), baby clothing, girls leggings... Sorry, no jeans please!

For more information or to arrange for donations please email info @ ellasthreads.org
